Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems has an opening for a Senior Production Planning Assistant in Dulles, VA. 

Under minimal supervision, assist in the daily planning, status, and movement of hardware products through the procurement, manufacturing, inspection, test and shipping areas to meet established delivery schedules. Compile and release prepared procurement and manufacturing documentation, including purchase orders, work orders, operation sheets, and design documentation to the production floor. Work with engineering, technicians, program planners and scheduling to ensure customer needs are met.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED, plus three (5) years of related experience.
  • Possess typing and data entry skills, basic understanding of Excel /Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent follow-through, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Able to obtain forklift license and lift 50 pounds.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of a Master Production Schedule system (MPS)
  • Experience with CostPoint or other similar Enterprise systems
  • Basic understanding of TipQA or other Non-Conforming documentation systems.
