Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support a wide variety of NDT activities including Radiography, Ultrasonic, Liquid Penetrant and Eddy Current inspection, using manual and automated techniques
  • Handle and move explosive and non-explosive parts and components, as required, to assist with NDT inspections
  • Cross train in NDT methods listed above, if not already certified
  • Actively train and obtain experience under direct supervision of a certified Level 2 or Level 3

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience with NDT techniques preferred
  • Knowledge of radiographic safety requirements preferred
  • Capable of passing a near vision (Jaeger 1) eye exam, with corrected or uncorrected vision, and a color perception exam
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Must be available to work overtime and shift rotation as work load dictates
  • Must be able to read and interpret drawings
  • Must have the physical ability to work in a restricted radiation area
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to obtain Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a pre-requisite
  • Familiarity with basic dimensional inspection equipment / hand tools
  • Good computer skills; general windows operations and networks
  • Candidate must have strong mathematical skills including basic algebra, excellent oral and written communication
