Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is currently seeking an Assembler in Ridgecrest, CA.  Relocation assistance, while not guaranteed, may be available.

Job Summary

  • Daily assignments of mechanical assembly, which includes working from written instructions and visual aids to assemble products, working with paint, and sealants. Other task may be required outside normal duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/ or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, and cables.
  • Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • Understand quality specifications.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Work from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools and jigs

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent).   
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance or have a current clearance.
  • US citizenship required

 Preferred Education and Experience

  • 2 years or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Experience working with hands in tight spaces with small objects (screws, nuts, hand tools).
