Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.


This position works under minimal supervision to support a development and simulated multi-spacecraft operations environment, primarily simulating the operation of a US Air Force-like mission operations center.  The candidate will be required demonstrate a thorough understanding of real-time operation of on-orbit satellites.  The candidate will be asked to provide creative, practical solutions to enhance existing tools as well as support the development of new tools to support the planning and execution of multi-satellite operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires BS & 4 years or Master’s Degree & 2 years or equivalent combination of education & experience.
  • Current TS/SCI is required
  • Must be able to work nights/weekends/holidays in support of real-time operations
  • Previous experience with real-time spacecraft operations required.
  • Previous experience with real-time operations in a US Air Force environment is desired.
  • Previous experience with Flight Dynamics (e.g. orbit determination, maneuver planning) is desired.
  • Previous experience in Offensive/Defensive Counterspace is desirable.
  • Experience working with Python, Matlab, and FreeFlyer are highly desirable.
