Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

The Commerce location has an immediate need for a Sr Level Engineering Student Intern to work in the Manufacturing Engineering Department.

Job Duties:
Assist Tool Design Engineers with:
Update tool drawings to incorporate all changes
Reverse engineer existing tools and create CAD models and tool drawings
Assist with tooling assembly and validation processes
Organizing and update tool log
Additional tasks as assigned

Great communication skills
Good tech background through related coursework and work experience
Proficient in reading engineering drawings and understand CD&T
Great attention to detail and ability to reverse engineer tooling
Prior experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment a plus

Proficient with MS word, excel, Vision & MS PowerPoint, CAD modeling and drafting.  Working knowledge of Siemens Nx 8.5 a plus, general knowledge of rapid prototyping tech (3D printing a plus.  Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, planning,  machining, welding and heat treat.

Own transportation, good attendance and ability to follow directions.
