Job Summary

Work as a member of a product team with Orbital ATK Safety & Mission Assurance staff to identify and resolve technical issues, meet customer and program requirements and ensure mission success.  Provide support to program Flight Assurance Manager in review of supplier and internal design/manufacturing/test documentation for compliance to technical standards/specifications, compilation of hardware as-built configuration data for reconciliation against designed configuration, collaborate in planning flight hardware failure analysis investigations, assess hardware non-conformances for adequacy of root causes and corrective/preventative actions. Prepared and deliver technical briefings to team members, customers and management. Work closely with Orbital ATK Integration/Test and Engineering organizations to develop and deliver reliable products to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Executes quality standards for receiving, in-process, and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements.
  2. Performs in-process and final inspections on product throughout work centers and ensure product build documentation review and end-item data package review is being done in accordance with ISO specifications.
  3. Review and populate program-specific component level engineering documents and work instructions against internal guidelines/ standards.
  4. Identifies deficiencies in processes. Review nonconformance reports to identify trends and reports to management.
  5. Collects data for Program and Mission Assurance reviews.

Education and Experience

BS in Engineering

Other Requirements

Familiarity with methods of manufacture, integration, test or operation of aerospace or similarly complex hardware systems or sub-systems. Ability to understand technical requirements and mechanical drawings. Strong computational, communication and computer tool skills. Inquisitive, proactive and diligent individual excited about working in a dynamic team setting.
