Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Under supervision of the shop lead the position includes; Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems, such as computer equipment, control instrumentation, test equipment, applying principles and theories of electronics, electrical circuitry, electronic and electrical testing. As a lead technologist in the field, direct other technicians in assigned work to meet mission requirements and Operate telemetry station independently.
The ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering instructions for assembling electronics units.
Experience with mechanical fabrication, basic machining skills, and hardware assembly are a plus.
Ability to pass the physical requirements to work in Antarctica
Ability to become certified to J-STD-001ES Space Addendum and WHMA-A-620C Crimp/harness standard
Ability to become a NASA licensed Ordnance handler (Physical Requirements, Employer provided training)
Ability to travel to remote sites for up to 90 days
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree and minimum 2 – 4 years of related experience is required.
