Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Analyst at our Clearfield, UT offices to drive success with its rapidly growing business.  This position will support the planning and execution of programs within the Advanced Composite Structures, Military Structures, and Large Structures business segments.  The successful candidate will have responsibility to ensure that the information technology requirements for the programs within those segments are successfully executed.  

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards
  • Develops statements of work and coordinates the customer approval of, and the procurement of, computer hardware, software, and other equipment
  • Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities
  • Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and information storage
  • Engages suppliers of information technology as required
  • Manages projects including their definition, changes, plans, resources, testing and delivery to meet business needs and deadlines
  • Communicates with project stakeholders and team members all relevant information
  • Represents the Information Services organization when working with internal and external customers
  • Represents the customers when coordinating services and resources from within the Information Services and Security organizations
  • Contributes to proposal generation and provides material and labor cost estimates for various scenarios
  • Performs technician level tasks as need
  • Leads other information technology professionals within program scope
  • Consults the Information Services organization on matters of cyber security and promotes adherence to IT and physical security requirements


Required Skills and Experience:

US Citizen with a security clearance, or the ability to receive one

Expertise in the deployment and implementation of business and engineering software and systems, PCs, workstations, servers, storage systems, phones, printers, and network equipment

  • 14 years minimum experience in information technology or related field
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in CS, MIS, Math, or other technical subject or equivalent experience
  • Proficient with MS office products including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with estimating, budgeting and tracking progress / metrics
  • Experience with supporting proposals, trade studies and make/buy decisions
  • Experience with contract/PO authoring and negotiation
  • Experience estimating EAC/ETC
  • DoD Secret Clearance required


Preferred Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Security Plus certification
  • CISSP certification
  • IT services and support on Special Access Program
  • Experience as an ISSO/ISSM
  • COMSEC training
