Job Summary

The External Research and Development group is seeking a dynamic individual able to work in diverse research and testing environments. Tasks typically include additive manufacturing design, hands-on fabrication, finite element modeling, and computer aided drafting.  Ideal candidate will have broad experience ranging from hands-on manufacturing, design, and mechanical analysis. An innovative mindset is critical. Candidate must be:

  • Eager to present results and new ideas to internal and external forums

Job Responsibilities

  1. Under      sometimes minimal product definition, performs a variety of mechanical      engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature.
  2. Applies      theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of basic      analytical engineering problems.
  3. Responds      positively to all tasks.
  4. Makes      thoughtful and valuable suggestions and recommendations for improving      project outcomes.
  5. Perform      design, analysis, fabrication, and/or test activities under the direction      of senior engineering to support project objectives.
  6. Provide      guidance to support personnel, such as designers and technicians to ensure      that a project/program assignments meet established technical objectives.
  7. Document      results of analysis, test, and design activities.

Education and Experience

BS in Engineering with preference for Mechanical and Aerospace.
