Production Planning Assistant

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Develop and maintain detailed schedules, production plans and material requirements lists in accordance
with the Master Production Schedule, for products, proposal efforts and/or production processes. Provide
input to management regarding problems such as scheduling problems, material shortages, design changes
1. Develop and maintain material and tooling requirements for proposal efforts and/or
production processes; daily planning schedules, statusing the movement of hardware
through manufacturing, inspection, test and shipping.
2. Provide input to management regarding issues such as scheduling problems, material
shortages, design changes and backlogs.
3. Release and maintain all appropriate paperwork.
4. As needed, monitor activities associated with inspection test and shipment to ensure a
smooth flow of materials tied to production requirements.
5. May coordinate supply activities and report on production and material expenditures.
Coordinate the disposition and correction of rejected hardware with manufacturing
6. Perform related duties as assigned or required.
Position requires High School Diploma and two years experience.
