Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. NGIS is currently seeking an experienced Production Control Planner to provide leadership to our Armament Systems Division team in our Mesa, AZ offices.

Role description & Responsibilities:

  • Submission of Work Orders to the Warehouse
  • Responsible to participate in contract closeout
  • Responsible for supporting their respective programs by closely working with the Programs Manager, Material Program Manager, Process Engineer and other key program personnel on material requirements.
  • Supports Quality in TIPQA (MRB activity)
  • Responsible for ordering, storing and keeping track of “RM” floor stock hazmat items
  • Keep track and usage of shortages on Remand programs
  • Monitor the build through the factory and report status to the program team.
  • Keep track of subassemblies and close Work Orders as they are completed.
  • Support induction of Remanufacturing Guns.
  • Work closely with Barrel Planner and ensure barrel production supports Guns ship schedule.
  • Help Monitor the build through the factory and report status to the program team. Prioritize and expedite incoming material as necessary to ensure the material is inspected and accepted and placed into inventory necessary to fulfill manufacturing requirements.
  • Support Production with replacement parts, testing parts, etc.
  • Shipper document creation
  • Expediting of parts from the Warehouse due to non-conformances, scrapping issues, etc.

Experience Requirements:  

  • BA/BS preferred or 2-3 years of related/equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years MRP/ERP experience, Deltek "CostPoint" MRP experience preferred
  • Excellent math skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, etc)
  • Strong communication skills
