Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Perform a large variety of routine and complex analytical procedures in the analysis of energetics and raw materials by various testing techniques including but not limited to Wet Chemistry, GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, ICP, SEM, etc. Read, understand and interpret analytical procedures. Document work clearly and perform tests accurately. Provide expert interpretation of data and compare results to establish specifications or anticipated trends. Summarize laboratory results and prepare scientific reports. Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Works independently with a minimum of supervision, self-motivated.
Bachelor Degree with 7 years’ experience
Preferred Candidate Requirements:
- Graduate Degree (M.S.) in Chemistry with at least 5 years’ experience in an analytical laboratory
- Extensive experience analyzing or working with energetics
