Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform and/or lead all Software Configuration Mgmt (SCM) tool related tasks, including:

  • Playing a key role in the organizational migration to Atlassian SCM/ALM tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, etc)
  • Managing and improving the existing automated configuration management tools (Subversion/Razor)
  • Managing and improving the existing automated problem tracking tools (Trac/Razor/Jira)
  • Implementing SCM practices for all flight, ground, and simulation software projects
  • Approving requested SCM tool changes and seeing to their implementation and deployment

Assist in other SCM tasks, including:

  • Providing SCM guidance and assistance to project teams
  • Reproducing and verifying SW build processes
  • Developing and maintaining SCM plans, procedures and estimates
  • Developing and documenting the software development and control processes to be contained in the Software Development Plan (SDP)
  • Supporting software design reviews - PDR, CDR, TRR
  • Participating in internal/external SCM audits
  • Helping to coordinating SCM team tasking

Education and Experience

  • BS Computer Science or similar and at least 4 years of related experience
  • Experience with various SCM tools, including Jira, Git, Subversion, Trac
  • Prefer development experience with scripting / programming
