Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Join a growing software development team in designing, developing and deploying spacecraft ground systems software applications. This position is on the Visualization/UI team.
- Develop software applications using C++, Qt, PySide2, OpenSceneGraph, OpenGL in Windows and Linux development environments
- Perform software activities including design, development, integration, test, documentation, troubleshooting, change control, release deployment and ongoing customer support
- Work with Software Team Leads and internal customers from Systems Engineering, Flight Software Engineering, Mission Planning and Mission Operations in defining tool requirements, coordinating change requests, and testing software releases
Education and Experience
BS in Computer Science/Engineering and 2 or more years of related experience
Demonstrated skills in several of the following: Object Oriented Design/Development, C++/C programming, Python, Graphics and or UI Development (, Qt/PySide, OpenGL/OpenSceneGraph), SQL programming, software application development on Linux and Windows platforms. Experience in Satellite Command and Control, or Mission Planning software, or message brokers such as AMQP is a plus.
