Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.

We are currently seeking Sr. Administrative Assistant to support our NASA Programs team at our Promontory, UT facilities.

Job Description:

The Sr. Administrative Assistant in the Propulsion Systems group, provides a critical role in providing the organizational and administrative support required for the effective operation in the NASA Programs group.

The primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms

  • Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports

  • Answers and directs incoming calls

  • Arranges travel, prepares and submits expense reimbursement reports

  • Schedules meetings and arranges for catering

  • Deals with a diverse group of internal employees and external customers

  • Orders and maintains office supply inventory

  • Creates and keep current filing and logging systems

  • Provides general support to visitors and customers

  • Liaise with executive and senior administrative assistants to handle requests and queries from Senior Directors and Vice Presidents.

  • Schedules meetings and arranges for catering

  • Manages multiple Outlook calendars

  • Produces and edits correspondence and presentations

  • Independently coordinates and manages a variety of projects

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Builds working relationships with a diverse group of internal employees and external customers

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an administrative assistant

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and use of the Internet.

  • Ability to learn new programs and databases.

  • Ability to exercise discretion and respect confidentiality concerning employee information and company records

Education/Certifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent and 4 years experience; or a combination of education and experience (education will be verified)
