Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Promontory, Utah, is currently recruiting for a Senior Boiler Operator.

Duties:

Responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam and hot water boilers, plant water systems which include water pump stations, water towers and tanks, and plant compressed airs located at Promontory.  Duties include maintaining written log books and documentation, testing boiler water and chemical samples, performing minor maintenance repairs and troubleshooting, conducting operation process/building environmental checks and verification.  Will perform housekeeping and 5S for Power House facilities, vehicle, and surrounding area. 

This position reports to the Promontory Maintenance Department. The successful candidate must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job and work a 24/7 operation schedule which includes shift work, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma and 4 years of boiler operator work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with high pressure steam and condensate.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience with repairing industrial process equipment. 
  • Prefer post high school vocational education in maintenance crafts.
