Associate Technical Operations Planner

Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
Propulsion Systems is currently seeking an Associate Technical Operations Planner to provide documentation and process support to our Promontory Value Stream team at our Promontory, Utah office.
Tech Ops Planners performs a variety of engineering planning functions in support of operations or quality such as hardware traceability; configuration management; developing manufacturing plans; creating and maintaining electronic shop floor planning; determining processing and inspection operations. Prepares or directs the preparation or approval of planning documents defining operational sequence, process instructions, tooling, equipment and facilities to be used in production. Utilize applicable computer systems.
· Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools and database applications.
Must be disciplined to follow detailed instructions and comply with procedures.
· Strong skills using Electronic Shop Instructions (ESI) or similar system.
Excellent written and oral communication skills to create clear and understandable planning for operators.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to stay on task and work with minimal oversight.
Detail oriented but able to understand the big picture.
· Knowledgeable of Manufacturing Operations in the Propellant ingredient prep, premix, mixing, and AP plant areas.
Understanding of the change control process and has the ability to create CR’s/OCR’s for process engineering
Has the ability to create/modify simple sketches in CAD or related software for planning sketches.
· Associates Degree, preferred
· Two-year certification or education post high-school
